FAQ
What types of counselling are available?
Counselling includes individual therapy, where clients work through their experiences in a safe environment. The type of therapy offered is person-centred therapy. This means that the environment will be non-judgemental, and i aim to understand things from your point of view, encouraging your uniqueness and autonomy. We can also explore past experiences/traumas and other ways they show up in bodily sensations, brain fog and/or lack of motivation.
How do I know if I need counselling?
You might consider counselling if you’re experiencing persistent feelings of anxiety, flashbacks, emotional distress, difficulty in relationships, and traumatic events. If these feelings are affecting your daily life, it may be helpful to seek support. Or perhaps you are just hoping to have a space where you are truly heard and want to reflect on things from your past, present or future.
What should I expect in a counselling session?
In a counselling session, expect a safe and confidential space to discuss your experiences. The space will be led by you to use at your own pace and talk through and reflect on what is important to you and comfortable for you.
What are the benefits of counselling?
Counselling offers numerous benefits, including improved emotional well-being, enhanced coping skills, better relationships, improved physical health, and increased self-awareness. It provides a safe space to explore thoughts and feelings, helping individuals develop strategies to manage challenges and achieve personal growth.
